What is State Authorization for online programs?
If an institution is offering post secondary education through distance or correspondence education to students in a State in which it is not physically located or in which it is otherwise subject to State jurisdiction as determined by the State, the institution must meet any State requirements for it to be legally offering post secondary distance or correspondence education in that State.
At this time we are not able to offer students in Arkansas and North Carolina the opportunity to participate in any of our fully online programs.
Please note that we are required by the various states to post the information below:
Alaska: The program is exempt from authorization under AS 14.48 and 20 AAC 17.015 because the program is online or distance delivered and does not have a physical presence in the state.
Arkansas: Adelphi may not advertise or recruit AR students unless programs are approved.
