We offer two start times each year for our health informatics certificate online program: fall and spring.

Admissions Requirements

The Admissions Committee reviews applications on a rolling basis. However, we recommend submitting your application as soon as possible.

Requirements for admission to the online healthcare informatics certificate include:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, four-year institution with a minimum 2.75 cumulative undergraduate GPA

Note: Students are not required to take the GRE or GMAT for admission to the program.

Application Materials

In order to complete the application, all candidates must submit the following:

• Online application
  Start your application here. If you don’t have all the supplementary materials prepared right now, you can save and continue working on your submission at any time.
• Professional résumé/CV
  Showcase your professional and academic experience, present your skills and mention any recognitions or awards you have received.
• Official transcripts from all postsecondary schools attended
  All candidates must submit official undergraduate transcripts for all schools where credits were earned toward the conferred degree.
  
  Official eScripts can be sent to our office electronically (directly from the institution) to graduateadmissions@adelphi.edu, or via mail (in sealed envelopes) to:

• Two letters of recommendation from professional or academic sources
  Letters of professional recommendation should come from individuals you have worked closely with either professionally or academically who can comment on your qualifications for pursuing a graduate certificate.

• 500-word essay detailing the reasons for applying
  We want to get to know you. What are your educational goals and expectations from the program? How do you hope to use this certification in the future?
• International students must also submit official TOEFL scores (non-native English speakers only)
  In addition to the admission requirements and materials listed above, international students must have a minimum TOEFL score of 80 or a minimum IELTS overall band score of 6.5.

Please note that admission to the online Master of Science in Healthcare Informatics program does not qualify international students for a visa.
