Katy Auchter came to Adelphi from Wisconsin, where she had been teaching English as a second language. She earned the Dean’s Award for outstanding graduate in Educational Technology and went on to work as an instructional technologist at NYU, helping reimagine face-to-face courses for online delivery.
We caught up with Katy earlier in her career for this conversation. She has since gone on to become a group product manager at Remote, but what she shares about the program is still very much worth watching.
In this conversation with Professor Matt Curinga, she reflects on the courses that shaped her thinking, a thesis project that became a conference presentation in Wales and the advice she would give to anyone considering the MA in EdTech program.
