Ways to Fund Your Degree
Every admitted student is automatically considered for merit-based aid. There’s no need for separate applications.
Be sure to refer to the specific terms and conditions for each award.
Adelphi scholarships are renewable each year for students who meet certain performance criteria. Adelphi need-based grants are renewable for students who meet the FAFSA® filing priority deadline of March 1 each year and who continue to demonstrate financial need.
Beyond Adelphi’s own awards, you may be eligible for scholarships through employers, professional organizations or community groups. Adelphi’s Office of Prestigious Awards and Fellowships can help you identify opportunities and strengthen your applications.

| Employer Tuition Discount* | Discount on tuition through employer partnership |
|
Must be employed at a participating organization, including (but not limited to):
|
*Employer tuition discounts cannot be combined with institutional aid.
Whether your employer is interested in paying upfront, reimburses after course completion or offers a tuition discount, we’re here to make the process seamless. Visit our tuition reimbursement information page for more information.
If your organization participates in the AllCampus Workplace Network, you may be eligible for an additional 10% tuition discount. Call 516.619.2209 or email online@adelphi.edu to find out if your employer is part of this network.
Note that employer tuition discounts cannot be combined with institutional aid.
Private loans, also known as alternative loans, are available through various lenders. These loans are designed to assist students and their families who need additional financing for educational expenses and may not be eligible for federal grants or federal loan funds.
Loan approval and fixed/variable interest rates can vary based on credit score, income and co-signer finances. Applicants with co-signers generally receive more favorable interest rates and higher approval rates.
We strongly advise carefully comparing the differences between private and federal loans as well as all repayment obligations.
Choosing a Lender
You can compare private loan lenders via ELMSelect. These are lenders that Adelphi University students have used historically. You are encouraged to review each lender’s information to determine which benefits and terms are best for you now and in the future.
Disclaimers: You are not required to borrow from any specific lender and there is no penalty for choosing one lender over another. Any lender not represented on the comparison tool can still be considered and certified by Adelphi University.
Adelphi University, in partnership with Transact, offers payment plans on a semester basis, providing you with flexibility on how to manage paying for school. You can use a plan to pay all or part of your balance over the course of the semester.
