Online/Blended Degree and Certificate Programs

Admission

Students have three opportunities each year to begin the online Bachelor of Arts in Social Science: Fall, Spring and Summer. After submitting an application and all required materials, students can expect to receive an admissions decision within one week.

The next start date is February 3, 2020.

We offer rolling admissions throughout the year. We accept applications up until two weeks prior to the start of each semester, but we recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible.


Admission Requirements

Students must meet the College of Professional and Continuing Studies (CPCS) requirements for admission to the program. These requirements include:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA on a four-point scale.

Application Materials

To apply, candidates must submit these items:

  • Completed application form
  • Official college and high school transcripts (see below for details)
  • Personal statement/essay up to 500 words in length that describes your most significant personal accomplishment or why you want to attend Adelphi and pursue this degree.
  • $40 application fee

Note: SAT scores are not required for CPCS applicants.


Transcript Submission Details

High school transcripts or a GED copy are required only from students who have completed fewer than 30 college credits.

Official eScripts must be sent to our office electronically and directly from the institution at admissions@adelphi.edu, or via mail and in a sealed envelope to:
