This website provides details about becoming a licensed social worker, including steps and requirements for each state. Adelphi University Online Master of Social Work graduates are eligible to apply for licensure as a licensed master social worker (LMSW).

The Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior
The Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB) is an organization of professionals dedicated to promoting effective nutrition education. Adelphi University’s online M.S. in Nutrition meets the competencies for graduate nutrition education established by the SNEB International Task Force, of which program director Dr. Dembicki was a part.

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is an organization of food and nutrition professionals, consisting of more than 100,000 credentialed practitioners who work in dietetics. The Academy also publishes a monthly journal.

The National Education Association is an organization dedicated to advancing public education. The association has put together a guide, “Teaching Students with Autism,” which educators can reference as a helpful resource.

Autism Speaks
Autism Speaks is devoted to increasing awareness of autism and advancing research into the disorder. The organization offers a School Community Tool Kit with information about autism and tips and resources for student support.

Organization for Autism Research
The Organization for Autism Research, OAR, is an institution founded and led by parents and grandparents of children with autism. Educators will find a “Teacher’s Corner” on their website, which provides tools for supporting students on the spectrum.
