Darren R. Petronella has taught at Adelphi University since 2005. He created and teaches the Special Topics course, Psychology of Prejudice, as well as Behavioral Psychology, Introduction to Psychology and First Year Seminar courses. His career in higher education spans more than 25 years and includes working as a full-time career counselor at Adelphi’s Center for Career Development.
Petronella has worked at Nassau Community College since 2001 in roles including professor, counselor and study abroad coordinator. He has served in similar capacities at Hofstra University, St. John’s University and Farmingdale State College (SUNY).
Petronella earned his M.S. in Education, with a specialization in counselling, from Hofstra University and his B.A. in Psychology from Binghamton University (SUNY).
